About us

Dr. Meghan Robinson has officially started her practice in Shedden, Ontario. She is excited to be back in Elgin County after attending university in British Columbia and medical school in the Caribbean.

Dr. Meghan is a knowledgeable and caring family doctor who decided many years ago she wanted to come and work with her mom. We are very proud of her achievements and very confident in her ability to provide excellent medical care to our patients. She feels very fortunate to have had such a great role model in her mother and is looking forward to continue to practice in Shedden.

It has been a difficult decision for Dr. Connie to retire as she has enjoyed being your family doctor and has been so fortunate to have had such a rewarding career in Shedden. She will continue to work with Dr. Meghan over the next few years in a diminishing capacity, as she has a wonderful new grandson to spoil and looks forward to her new career as grandma.

D.A Monteith Medical Centre

Shedden is a picturesque rural community located in Elgin County approximately ten miles west of St.Thomas and 15 miles southwest of London. The Monteith Medical Centre was named after the late Dr. David Monteith a family doctor in the community for over 40 years. Dr. Monteith donated the land on which the medical clinic was built with community raised funds in 1986. Shedden is host to Rosy Rhubarb Days , a weekend festival that offers some of the best rhubarb baked goods and even rhubarb sundaes, lots of entertainment and garage sales through the entire village, usually the second weekend in June.

Another community festival is the annual Shedden Fair which occurs the last weekend in August and has many events to interest all ages. There is great back road cycling in this area on both paved and gravel roads . The Elgin hiking trail is located in Paynes Mills, a hamlet approximately 3 miles east of Shedden on hwy 3, and it ends in Port Stanley. The countryside is gorgeous and if you find yourself needing a peaceful way to unwind you might just want to explore this great part of southern Ontario.
